HELLO Thank you for visiting ‘Ebb and Flow’, I’d like to take a moment to tell you about how we came to be. My love of Cornwall came from seaside childhood holidays ( I can never remember it raining! ) and countless visits later on in life. Like so many people, who feel the pull of the Cornish waves, I dreamt of living and working in this
In 1996 I opened my first small shop in Cardiff to share my passion for individuality by selling well made, original vintage clothing. My interest in fair trade led me to travel to the Far East to source beautifully made furniture, jewellery, home furnishings and clothing which was fairly traded. I feel very privileged to have met so many interesting and inspiring people during this time.
Beautiful, Ethical & Green.
After 20 years and 2 shops in South Wales the time was right to finally realise my dream and move to Cornwall. Happenstance took over and maybe with a little good luck from the Cornish Piskies, I was fortunate to be able to open ‘Ebb and Flow’ on the Wharf in St Ives.
I wanted to create a space for beautiful, ethical and green products: distinctive clothes to reflect the beautiful colours and hues of Cornwall’s changing seasons; creative accessories and interesting, unique products for the home.
It is important to me to showcase local artists and so I source quirky and individual pieces of jewellery, beautiful gifts and irresistible treats.
Domino ( canine sales assistant ) and myself have been here a few years now and never tire of watching the ebb and flow of the harbour tides and welcoming locals, visitors and their dogs into our shop. Each year and each season brings new and interesting goodies, so please call in if you are down in St Ives or treat yourself from our on line shop – we would love to see you ‘Dreckly!’

Thank you so much to the very kind owner of this gorgeous shop who found & sent on free of charge the Poldark mug that I bought for a Xmas pressie. I left it in the shop while visiting Cornwall and living near Oxford couldnt go back to pick up! What a thoughtful gesture.
We always look forward to visiting this shop. This time domino was having a day off! Hopefully will see him in September.
The lady in the shop was very helpful, let me browse and make up my mind about my purchases. They were lots of useful beautiful items, for yoga, scarfs, bags and jewellery. I settled on a beautiful Tibetan scarf, bag and some lovely beef bones for our little dog pebbles who thought they were lovely. See you in September.
